Halloween Celebrations Coming To Cleveland Heights

Candy crawls, CovenTREAT and official trick-or-treating times have all been announced for this year.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The city's official trick-or-treat festivities will be held Thursday, October 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Before costumed kiddies get their candies door-to-door, they can take part in Halloween celebrations happening throughout the community.

On October 18, the Cedar-Lee District will host its annual Candy Crawl. Shops up and down Lee Road will have candy for kids 12 and under (who must be accompanied by adults). Stores taking part in the celebration will have signs in their windows. The event runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Coventry Village will host its Halloween celebration on October 25. Restaurants and shops throughout the district will offer candies and treats to costumed children (who must be accompanied by an adults). There will also be face painting, food trucks, live performances and discounts at different shops. Participating businesses will have an official "CovenTREAT Stop" sign in their window. The event runs 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

On October 31, a Thursday, the city will have its official trick-or-treat time. Parents are asked to keep flashlights on them and to accompany their children as they go door-to-door. Kids should only go to homes with their porch light on.
