Heights High Facilities Master Plan Pilot Open For Tours Tuesday

Cleveland Heights High's Legacy New Tech small school will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday for tours before the Cleveland Heights-University Heights School Board's special meeting.

The Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District is hosting a tour of the new pilot classrooms at Cleveland Heights High School from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18.

The pilot, part of the facilities master plan, is housed in the Legacy New Tech small school in 12,000 square feet of space. A $750,000 Innovation Grant through the Ohio Department of Education's Race to the Top program helped pay for the $994,000 project.

Parents and community members can tour the newly renovated classrooms and also meet the new principal of Legacy, Crystal Maclin, and teachers. Light refreshments will be served.

The CH-UH School Board will also conduct its regular monthly special meeting in the school at 7 p.m. Board members will discuss appointments, permanent appropriations and updates on changes in state and federal laws, according to the agenda, which is included with this article in the PDFs section.
