Heights High Football Moves Into Top 10 Rankings

The Tigers demolished Bedford High over Homecoming weekend. The win was good enough to catapult the team into the Top 10.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The Heights High Tigers are now ranked in the Top 10 in Region I, Division I football. The team is 6-1 on the season after a win over Homecoming weekend and is now No. 9 in the region.

Heading into Homecoming weekend, Heights High was ranked No. 11 in the region. Then the Tigers steamrolled Bedford High on Friday with a 39-6 victory. It was the Tigers' sixth straight victory. The team hasn't lost since its week one match-up with Medina.

When OHSAA released its weekly computer rankings this week, Heights High had jumped two positions to No. 9. Four teams above the Tigers in the rankings have worse records, sitting at 5-2. Here are the complete rankings for Region 1, Division I:
