Heights Libraries Will Celebrate First Little Free Library With Ice Cream Social
The library will host the event at the corner of Sylvania and Elmwood, the first Little Free Library location.
On the corner of Sylvania and Elmwood in Cleveland Heights, people can now take a book and leave a book, no circulation required.
The Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library installed the  at that corner. People share books on the honor system — if you take a book, donate one to share, come back and return it, or both.

The library will host an  featuring dessert from at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at the . Heights Libraries asks that people who come bring a book for the Little Free Library, or just enjoy the cool treat.
In addition, the second Little Free Library is ready to go and on display at the branch, but organizers are still deciding where the structure should go.

The mini house-like structures, created and donated by Silsby Stained Glass and Woodworking, are approximately 3' by 3' boxes made with wood, roof tiles and leaded glass.
The hope is that the program promotes reading, literacy and community engagement.
