Heights Schools Distributing Laptops To Students

With remote-only education to start the year, students will receive laptops to access their curriculum.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The Cleveland Heights-University Heights Schools will begin the academic year with remote-only learning.

To help all students engage with classes online, the district is providing a Chromebook to every kindergarten through 12th grade student. Some families may have already had their Chromebooks from last year, but the district is distributing the laptops in the parking lots of individual school buildings.

The school system said families should arrange for an adult to pick up the Chromebook. Here's the schedule for laptop distribution:

"If you have more than one student in the district, you may select one school location to pick up devices for all of your children. If you cannot make it to your child’s school on the designated day, you are welcome to select another convenient location/date. Or, you may send the signed form with another responsible adult to pick up the Chromebook. High school students who are 18 years or older may pick up a device with a signed form," the district said.
