Heights Tigers Football To Play Top Seed In Playoffs
The Tigers finished their season with nine straight wins. Their reward? A postseason date with undefeated Mentor.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — It's official — the Heights Tigers will play No. 1-ranked, and undefeated, Mentor in the opening round of the Division I football playoffs. This is the Tigers first trip to the postseason in five years.
The Tigers are the lowest seed in their region, at No. 8, and will have to travel to Mentor on Friday night. The game will start at 7 p.m.
The winner of the Heights High-Mentor High game will play the victor of the Canton McKinley-Solon match-up, at a site to be determined on Nov. 15. The other games in the region are St. Edward High vs Medina High and Euclid vs Massillon Jackson.

Heights High finished its season 9-1, with a Lake Erie League title. Mentor went undefeated and claimed the Greater Cleveland Conference title.
Football state championship games will again be played at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton. Title games will be played December 5 through December 7.

Last year. St. Ed's defeated Cincinnati Colerain, 24-10 in the state championship.
