Homecoming Parade Will Close Streets In Cleveland Heights
Drivers will want to plan their commute around the upcoming parade route.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The Heights High Football team is off to a good start, with a 5-2 record after seven weeks of play. The Tigers will play Warrensville Heights on Friday night, the crucial and celebratory Homecoming Game. Friday's festivities will also cause street closures throughout the city.
Before the game, the Heights High Homecoming Parade will march through the streets. Cleveland Heights Police Chief Annette Mecklenburg confirmed that some roads will be closed Friday afternoon to make room for the parade.
"The parade will travel north on Lee Road from Scarborough to Tullamore," Mecklenburg said in an email to Patch. "All streets between Clarendon and Cedar at Lee will therefore be closed beginning at 4:30 p.m. and will reopen at approximately 5:30 p.m."

Scarborough, between Lee and Stratford, will also be closed starting at 4:15 p.m., because the area is being used as staging for the parade.

Mecklenburg said there will be several officers on hand to help with traffic.
Drivers should plan for a slower-than-usual commute on Friday. Use extra caution when driving through Cleveland Heights. Anyone that uses one of the impacted parade routes will want to find an alternate route, Mecklenburg suggested.
Friday's game will start at 7 p.m. Go Tigers!
