Interactive Magic At Cain Park For Harry Potter Screening

Missions to find golden snitches, costume contests and more promise to delight attendees of the upcoming showing of Harry Potter.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — There will be plenty of magic in the air during the August 9 screening of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" in Alma Theater at Cain Park. A costume contest with gift baskets for winners will highlight a series of interactive activities around the movie.

The movie will be shown at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and all guests are encouraged to dress up in their best "Harry Potter" outfits. The best dressed attendee will win a Harry Potter-themed gift basket. The contest is open to kids and adults of all ages.

Before August 9, families can comb through the Heights Libraries' Lee Road branch to find a Golden Snitch. Anyone that finds the fabled Snitch will win a four-pack of tickets to see the film.

Cleveland East Side Moms are also offering their fans a pizza night at Dewey's and Harry Potter movie tickets.

"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" is a PG-rated film that runs about two and a half hours.
