Lee Road Mini-Park Lot to Host Street Piano
"Play Me, I'm Yours" art project coming to Cleveland Heights

Heights Arts is bringing a little melody to Lee Road* next month with the Play Me, I'm Yours exhibit.
Play Me, I'm Yours is an international project that installs pianos in urban environments to "provoke people into engaging, activating and claiming ownership of their urban landscape," according to the project's website.
20 pianos will be placed around the area, including one in Cleveland Heights.
Heights Arts writes that new director Rachel Bernstein heard about the project and wanted a street piano in Cleveland Heights even before she was hired at Heights Arts.
“This project embodies Heights Arts’ mission and vision perfectly,” Bernstein said in a statement from Heights Arts. “It unites the visual arts with the musical arts into an appealing piece of public art that invites everyone to participate. Even the story of how we got the piano (by posting a request on a neighborhood list serve and enlisting board members to move it on a rainy day) reflects the collaborative, enthusiastic and creative nature of our unique organization and community."
The piano will be at 2175 Lee Road - the courtyard next to Lemongrass.*
