Memorial Day 2017: Cleveland Heights Veterans Event On Monday

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Veterans Memorial in Cumberland Park will again play host to the city's Memorial Day Ceremony on May 29 at 10:30 a.m. The city has been honoring those who have passed away while serving their country for more than 50 years with the event.

Veterans will be recognized at the event and will be invited to introduce themselves to the gathering. The All-Generations Band will perform during the event.

The event is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the Community Center parking lot on Monticello off Mayfield Road, or in the Cumberland Park parking lot on Cumberland Road. Handicapped parking is available off Preyer Road.

Memorial Day will close city hall and all other Cleveland Heights offices, including the Community Center and Municipal Court.

Additionally, there will be Catholic services held at cemeteries throughout Cuyahoga, Summit, and Lorain County. The list of cemeteries with Memorial Day services is below.
