The city's annual Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at the Veterans Memorial in Cumberland Park, starting at 10:30 a.m. Veterans will be the city's special guests and will be recognized at the event. Attendees can expect to see street clubs, veterans groups, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, youth sports teams and other community groups in attendance.
The city recognizes Memorial Day as a holiday and is shut down on Monday. That means trash collection across the city will be delayed by one day. Monday collection will happen Tuesday; Tuesday collection will happen Wednesday and so on.
