Mom Accused of Killing Infant To Appear in Court

The Cleveland Heights woman accused of killing her baby with Benadryl doses is scheduled to answer to murder, assault and homicide charges in court Monday.

Kareema Cooper, 40, called first responders after she said that her 7-week-old infant's lips had turned blue and that the baby was unresponsive. Prosecutors allege that the level of medicine in the baby's body would have been toxic to an adult.

Cooper faces charges of murder, involuntary manslaughter, felonious assault, endangering children, reckless homicide and domestic violence.
