Productions Announced For Cain Park In Summer 2020

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Cain Park has announced two productions coming in the summer of 2020: Legally Blonde the Musical and Sondheim on Sondheim. Artistic Director Joanna May Cullinan will direct both musicals.

Legally Blonde will debut on June 11 and will end its run on June 28. Sondheim on Sondheim will debut on August 6 and will conclude on August 16. Jordan Cooper will provide musical direction for both shows and Imani Jackson will provide choreography for Legally Blonde.

"I'm excited to do Legally Blonde in 2020 during the Centennial of Women's Suffrage," says Cullinan. "Elle Woods is an unlikely feminist hero who overcomes stereotypes, embraces sisterhood and maintains integrity through a strong sense of self."

Sondheim on Sondheim follows the life of Stephen Sondheim and was written by the legendary songwriter himself. The musical also features personal interviews with Sondheim, interspersed with the onstage action.

Auditions for both musicals will be held February 27 and February 29 in 2020 at the Cleveland Heights Community Center. Callbacks will be held March 1.
