Snow To Cover Cleveland's Eastern Suburbs This Weekend
The National Weather Service said 12 inches of snow could fall between Friday night and Sunday night.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Get the snow shovels ready, winter is back. Up to 12 inches of snow could fall in Northeast Ohio throughout the weekend, the National Weather Service warned. The snowfall is likely to be worse for the northeastern portion of Cuyahoga County and counties close to the Pennsylvania border.
Snow showers are expected to start at 2 a.m. on Saturday and then continue through Sunday night. Current forecasts predict 1 to 5 inches of snow will fall before Saturday afternoon, with another inch possible throughout Saturday night.
Saturday could see a mix of rain and snow falling. Temperatures will start in the mid-40s before dropping throughout the day. Wind gusts could hit nearly 40 mph, making travel difficult.

The snow will start again on Sunday, with 2 to 6 inches of snow expected to fall throughout the day and night. The snow is likely to continue into Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The National Weather Service said there is a 60 percent chance of snow on the holiday.
Temperatures will begin to drop on Saturday. Starting Sunday, Northeast Ohioans can expect highs in the upper 20s and lows in the upper teens or low 20s. The cold front should taper off during the middle of next week. Temperatures will begin to climb into the 30s and 40s on Wednesday, current forecasts say.
