Tanisha Briley Sworn In As New City Manager

Tanisha R. Briley was sworn in Aug. 5 as the new Cleveland Heights city manager.

Tanisha Briley was sworn in Monday as Cleveland Heights' new city manager.

Briley, a Cleveland native, said she is thankful for the opportunity to reach a leadership positions in a great city like Cleveland Heights.

"I'm very excited to not only continue that career but also do it at home with family and friends," she said.

Susanna Niermann O'Neil has been serving as acting city manager since former manager Bob Downey resigned last April. 

Briley, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and a Masters of Public Administration from Cleveland State University, has worked for the City of Davenport, Iowa since 2006.
