Students at Monticello Middle School raise $400 for the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland

Patch Whiz Kids of the Week: Student representatives from the Ladies of Leadership

  • Both raised $20 each to donate to the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland's Share-a-Night Fund, and they raised $400 total with the approximately 20 members of 

Cleveland Heights Patch: How did you raise the money and reach your individual goal of $20?

Jade: I raised $20 by asking most of my family members. I asked them if they’d like to raise $1 to help me achieve my goal. I was like one, you can just give me how much you want to give me. Two, you don’t have to. And three, I really appreciate it.

Karshai: I asked my family members. I said, 'I have to raise $20 for Ladies of Leadership for my school,' and I asked them to donate $1. I said, 'Would you like to donate to the Ronald McDonald House?'

Jade: So families less fortunate have some place to stay when their kids are sick.

Jade, Karshai and the members of the Ladies of Leadership will visit the Ronald McDonald House in March to present the money they raised and take a tour.
