Tiana Jackson was charged with OVI and cited for child endangerment.

Cleveland Heights police charged a woman with operating a vehicle under the influence after she hit a tree with her car on Edison Road while her 6-year-old daughter was inside, police said.
According to police reports, Tiana Jackson was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence (OVI). Police were responding to a car accident on the 3500 block of Edison Road. When they arrived, they found that the vehicle she had been driving struck a tree.
An officer responding to the scene noted that the car had heavy damage to its front end, with all four air bags deployed. The child had abrasions on her face and was bleeding from her forehead.

Police told Newsnet5 that Ms. Jackson’s behavior was erratic and she was unconcerned about the child riding in the back of her car. While fire department officials were helping the child, Jackson was talking on her phone. They eventually noticed the smell of alcohol on her breath, and eventually performed a few sobriety tests, police said.
After showing signs of impairment on each test, police said, Jackson was taken to Cleveland Heights City Jail. In addition to being charged with an OVI, a complaint was signed by one of the officers for child endangerment, according to the accident report.
