Fire Destroys North Smithfield Home

At least one person was rushed to the hospital.

NORTH SMITHFIELD, RI — A house on Old Pound Hill Road was destroyed by fire early Thursday and at least one person was rushed to the hospital.

The fire was reported at around 4 a.m. and multiple crews responded.

North Smithfield Fire Chief David Chartier told ABC6 that three people were evacuated from the home and that one was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
