• Officer saves man being attacked by dogs in Colonial Heights (wric.com) — A Colonial Heights officer stopped a violent dog attack at Dupuy Court Apartments, shooting one dog so a 38-year-old victim could escape with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The dogs’ owner, a Petersburg man, now faces multiple animal cruelty and abandonment charges, plus prior failure-to-appear warrants from both Colonial Heights and Petersburg.
