This movie has all the winning ingredients: warmth, excitement, adventure — and of course, belly laughs. “Finding Dory,” a sequel to the 2003 hit, “Finding Nemo,” is the backstory of Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres), the blue tang fish that we all know and love. #2 “Full Metal Jacket”

You can never go wrong with an action movie on Father’s Day. Especially if it is a war action flick. Undeniably powerful, “Full Metal Jacket” follows the story of Vietnam-era recruits through their training and deployment. Director Stanley Kubrick’s genius is on display here while balancing mounting tension with the unrelenting horrors of war.

Now this is one a solid guy comedy. It has bro-mance appeal and male bonding written all over it. Of course, we need a sports film on our list. “Major League” follows a baseball team of misfits put together to lose the American League. Why? The owner wants to justify her plan to move the team from Ohio to Florida. But the biggest underdogs get their act together and rally to win the championship. The movie is predictable, but its comedy is priceless.
