Annual 'Blues For A Cause' Benefit: Save The Date In South Bay

SAN JOSE, CA – The annual Blues for a Cause concert benefit, a fundraiser hosted by Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence, Santa Clara County’s oldest and largest non-profit domestic violence service provider, will be Sunday, Feb. 25 in San Jose.

Supporting efforts to provide services for survivors of domestic violence, the organization's event will be Sunday, February 25 at 2 p.m. at The Studio at the Poor House Bistro, 91 South Autumn St., and will feature Lara Price and her all-star band, Girls Got the Blues.

This year’s event marks the 5th annual concert and will include a raffle with proceeds to benefit Next Door Solutions. In addition, the event is intended to raise community awareness about the services provided in Santa Clara County by Next Door Solutions, including a shelter for victims, a 24-hour hotline, support groups, legal representation and more.

“We are so appreciative of Lara Price and all of the members of Girls Got the Blues band for kicking off the new year of our efforts to raise awareness of the issue of domestic violence,” said Esther Peralez-Dieckmann, executive director of Next Door Solutions. “This is the fifth year we have put on Blues for a Cause, which is a sign of the tremendous support we have received from the South Bay community over the years. We invite the general public to join us and enjoy great music and the delicious food offered at the Poor House, all for a good cause in supporting victims of domestic violence.”

Price is a vocalist, guitarist, and band leader who has been nominated for Soul Blues Female artist by the Blues Foundation. She has been a long-time supporter of Next Door Solutions’ mission and survivor services, appearing at many of the organization’s events to raise awareness about domestic violence. Girls Got the Blues is an All-Star, female blues band and is a project was realized by Price in 2012.
