Face Your Fears: Halloween Haunt Opens At Great America

SANTA CLARA, CA – Halloween Haunt at California’s Great America, the South Bay's most popular Halloween spectacular, is open and terrifying guests with its annual array of ghastly experiences, plus five new shocking Skeleton Key experiences.

The "scares" -- for those 13 and older -- take place Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through October 30.

New for 2016, Halloween Haunt includes the Hoarder House, Vanity, Dominated, Sorority Slaughter and Bone Crusher.

Returning this year are haunted mazes, including: Dia De Los Muertos, Zombie High, Wax Museum Chamber of Horrors, Roadkill Road House, CornStalkers, Madame Marie’s Massacre Manor, InSanitarium and Toy Factory. Yikes!

Halloween Haunt is open Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to midnight through Oct. 8 and until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays from Oct. 14-29. Sundays' Halloween Haunt is open 7 p.m. to midnight.

“Halloween Haunt will be more cutting edge than ever with the introduction of Fear VR: 5150,” said California’s Great America executive Raul Rehnborg. “The 4D Haunt affects, combined with the latest VR technology, will be unique to Northern California and will keep Great America at the forefront of incorporating technology into Halloween attractions.”

And if you still have an appetite after all that, beginning Oct. 7, The Haunt Boofet will be in Great America Pavilion from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with an all-you-can-eat fried chicken meal for $14.49 when purchased online.

For your little ones, The Great Pumpkin Fest is set on weekends Oct. 1-30 (closed Oct. 2 and 23 for 49ers games), with the Great Pumpkin Fest taking over Great America during daytime hours and featuring trick-or-treating with Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang, pumpkin decorating, a hay maze and coloring.
