Future Of Coyote Valley To Be Discussed Wednesday

A celebration and conversation will take place about the future of the Coyote Valley, most of which remains unprotected.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — A celebration and conversation will take place Wednesday evening about the future of Coyote Valley in San Jose, according to Green Foothills, a group that aims to protect open space, farmland and natural resources in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.

The evening will get underway at 6:30 p.m. at the San Jose Women's Club at 75 S. 11th St. in San Jose.

Last year, 937 acres of Coyote Valley land became permanently protected, but there are 7,400 acres in the valley.

The evening, which ends at 8:30 p.m., will include panelists such as Santa Clara County Supervisor Cindy Chavez and San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo.
