Los Gatos High School Students Hold Protest At Prom
The students said that the school had allowed perpetrators of sexual assault and harassment to attend the dance.
LOS GATOS, CA — Several Los Gatos High School students who said that perpetrators of sexual assault and harassment had been allowed to attend the school's senior prom on Saturday night protested during the dance.
Outside the school's front lawn, where the dance was held, students held up signs that read “Prom Is A Privilege” and “Rapists Do Not Belong At Prom.”
Los Gatos High School is facing a number of sexual misconduct allegations from current and former students stemming from a movement that began last summer. Survivors have been posting about their experiences on the metoo.losgatos Instagram account.

Students organizing the protest told Patch that they tried asking the school to bar students who had been reported to the administration for sexual misconduct from attending the dance, but the school was unreceptive.
In an Instagram post, protesters said that when they arrived at the entrance, Paul Robinson, the interim principal, turned his back on them.
