Los Gatos Vice Mayor Rod Rennie Explores Supe Run: Report
Rennie would be seeking to replace Mike Wasserman, the current board president, who terms out in 2023.
LOS GATOS, CA — Los Gatos Vice Mayor Rod Rennie is considering making a run at higher office, San Jose Inside reports.
Rennie, who was first elected to the Town Council in 2014, last month filed paperwork to declare his intention to run in 2022 for the Santa Clara County District 1 Supervisor seat, the report said.
Rennie would be seeking to replace Mike Wasserman, the current board president, who terms out in 2023.

The district includes parts of Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, San Jose, Gilroy and Morgan Hill along with some unincorporated areas, the report said.
Should he join the race, Rennie would be opposed by at least one other declared candidate according to the report.

Former San Jose Councilman Johnny Khamis has been campaigning since September, the report said.
