Los Gatos School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Los Gatos is August 17. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Los Gatos Union School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

September

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)

October

• 10/9: No School for Students (Professional Development Day)
• 10/27: End of First Quarter

November

• 11/3: Elementary End of T1
• 11/10: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/13 - 11/17: K-5 Minimum Days (Conference Week)
• 11/20 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/22 - 1/5: No School (December Recess)

January

• 1/1 - 1/5: No School (December Recess)
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King Day)
• 1/19: End of First Semester/Second Quarter
