​Los Gatos School District Oversight Applicants Sought

The committee is charged with reviewing expenditure reports and ensuring Measure A funds are allocated properly.

LOS GATOS, CA — The Los Gatos-Saratoga Joint Union High School District announced that it is seeking applicants to serve in an oversight role.

The district's Parcel Tax Oversight Committee is charged with reviewing expenditure reports and ensuring Measure A funds are allocated properly.

Voters in 2011passed the district parcel tax of $49/parcel to provide a source of locally controlled educational funding.

The measure stipulates that funds be used to provide support for core academic programs such as math, science and English, attract and retain qualified teachers, maintain college and career preparation programs, and to provide classroom materials such as books and science laboratory equipment.

The deadline to apply is noon on Sept. 9.
