The Museums of Los Gatos announces the appointment of Lisa Coscino as Executive Director effective July 15.
Lisa will oversee both the Los Gatos Art and History Museums as well as spearhead the move into the Museums’ new, combined facility in the former library space at the Los Gatos Civic Center.
Lisa takes the helm from interim director Lynne Brown who resigned at the end of June.
Lisa brings extensive museum and gallery experience to the Los Gatos community.
She is credited with the leadership role in establishing of the Monterey History and Art Association’s Museum of Monterey. She owned the Lisa Coscino Gallery in Pacific Grove that featured the work of emerging and mid-career artists.

Says Mary Ellen Comport, president of the Los Gatos Museums board of directors, “Lisa will be a terrific addition of our arts community. She brings experience in curating exhibitions, building community partnerships, fundraising and building attendance. These are skills we need as we take our ambitious next step in creating a more centralized and expanded cultural resource for Los Gatos.”
She adds, “I want to thank Lynne who acted as our interim director these past eight months. She provided our organization with strong operational support and organizational expertise during the Museums’ time of transition. We particularly wish to thank her for her participation and pragmatic support for our highly successful annual county-wide high school art exhibit.”
