San Jose Man Comes Home To Burglary; 4 in 5 Suspects Apprehended

The Marymonte Court resident apprehended one in five of the suspects burglarizing his home. Police captured three. One remains at large.

SAN JOSE, CA -- Police in San Jose are investigating a residential burglary that occurred Thursday after a man came home and found five suspects burglarizing his home.

On Thursday around 2:46 p.m., officers with the San Jose Police Department responded to a call about a residential burglary in progress in the 6600 block of Marymonte Court. Police said the victim arrived home and found five suspects inside his residence.

The suspects fled the residence and tried to get into a stolen vehicle parked outside, but the vehicle wouldn't start, so they then tried to flee the area on foot. The victim was able to detain one of the suspects, a juvenile
female, until police arrived.

Police searched the surrounding area and were able to take three additional juvenile suspects into custody. The final suspect was not located.
