San Jose Sharks To Bring Back Fans At SAP Center On April 26
Fans must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to the game or be fully vaccinated.

SAN JOSE, CA — The San Jose Sharks will welcome back fans to SAP Center on April 26 when the team hosts the Arizona Coyotes, marking the first time since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic that the building will host an event with members of the public in attendance.
Fans must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to the game or be fully vaccinated, with the final dose received at least two weeks prior to the day of the game. Face coverings are also required.
“On behalf of the entire Sharks organization, I am elated to welcome fans back to SAP Center at San Jose,” Jonathan Becher, President of Sharks Sports & Entertainment, said in a news release. “The health and safety of all event attendees continues to be our top priority.”

Tickets will be sold in pods of two or four seats. Pods will be separated by six feet, and fans seated together should be from the same household. Food and beverages must be purchased through a mobile app and will not be allowed in the seating bowl. There will be a designated area for eating and drinking near Sections 107 and 109.
The team plans to host a “soft re-opening” for family members and staff on April 24 when the Sharks play the Minnesota Wild.

The Sharks joined other professional teams in the Bay Area in bringing back fans to their home stadium. The Golden State Warriors will welcome back fans at Chase Center on April 23 and the San Francisco Giants and Oakland A’s have had fans in attendance since the beginning of the baseball season. The San Jose Earthquakes, who open at home April 24, plan to have fans at PayPal Park at 20 percent capacity.
The Sharks are offering complimentary PCR testing on non-home game days at SAP Center between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Appointments can be scheduled here.
