Severe Traffic Alert With SR87 Crash At SR85
A crash on SR 87 at the SR85 interchange in S.J. is causing a backup Monday morning, one of 5 incidents to report for Monday's commute.
SAN JOSE, CA -- Motorists are advised to avoid the area in San Jose where State Route 87 meets SR85, as a crash has blocked the right lanes with no estimated time of clearing the incident, according to a California Highway Patrol report as of 7:59 a.m.
The crash is located on the southbound side of SR87, with another reported on the northbound side at the Interstate 280 interchange. Also on the northbound side, the left lane is blocked due to a reported obstruction at 8:09 a.m. where the state highway meets the Capitol Expressway, 511.org reports.
And to round out the Monday morning commute, another crash with injuries has been reported and updated at 8:08 a.m. on State Route 85 on the northbound side at Saratoga Avenue, which is blocking lanes.

Near Milpitas, a crash on northbound Interstate 880 south of Dixon Landing Road has blocked the right shoulder.
