Shirtless South Bay Teacher In Virtual Class Draws Rebuke: Report
The instructor has been suspended according to the report.
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — A South Bay high school teacher who held an online class shirtless last week has been suspended, The San Francisco Chronicle reports.
A screenshot of the Silver Creek High School of San Jose teacher captured by a student was provided to authorities according to the report. ABC7 News has posted the image on Twitter.

East Side Union High School District Superintendent Chris Funk handed down the suspension but has not identified the teacher, according to The Chronicle report.

The alleged incident occurred Friday.
“The picture appears to be an employee of the (district),” Funk told The Chronicle.

“The behavior is unacceptable, unprofessional and violates several district policies.”
The family that brought the incident to the attention of authorities has identified the instructor as Richard Cabral, ABC 7 reports. Cabral is listed as a special education teacher on the school’s website.
The 13-year-old freshman student who took the screenshot of the instructor told ABC7 that seeing her instructor shirtless “kind of gave me like a weird vibe.”
"I realized he wasn't wearing a shirt," Makaylah Herrera-Avila told ABC7 News.
"And that was kind of awkward, made me feel uncomfortable."
