South Bay Students Receive $5,000 Scholarships

Micheline Ma, Michael Medina and Isabel Rodriguez are among ten young athletes from the Bay Area, and beyond, who received the scholarships.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The Giants Community Fund awarded $5,000 scholarships to ten young athletes this month. They were honored in a ceremony at home plate at Oracle Park on Aug. 10.

The students were chosen based on their leadership skills, character, academic potential and Junior Giants involvement.

  • Iris Cruz, Stockton

Since its inception in 1991, the Giants Community Fund has donated more than $30 million to community programs.
