What's New On Netflix: August 2017

It’s August! — another month, another treasure trove of Netflix goodies on the horizon! This month, nostalgia lights up the streaming giant’s movie centerpiece with some gems from the '90s. Care for a Gothic delight? Then there’s “The Addams Family.” If sci-fi is your cup of tea, then look no further than Keanu Reeves’ “The Matrix.” And for a campy horror film, Johnny Depp’s “Sleepy Hollow” also makes its Netflix debut.

Netflix-branded originals also make a big splash in this month’s binging lineup. Among them are “The Defenders,” “Death Note,” "Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later" and “Brad Paisley’s Comedy Rodeo.” Animation favorites, including “Voltron: Legendary Defender” Season 3 and “Dragons: Race to the Edge” Season 5 are returning as well.

Family treats also abound. Netflix is releasing “Arthur and the Invisibles,” “A Cinderella Story,” “Sing” and “Beautiful Creatures.”
