Clarkstown Readies For Memorial Day Ceremony, Parades

A local American Legion chapter is sponsoring the parade.
Residents of the villages are invited to the joint events.
Larchmont's is set for Thursday while Mamaroneck's will be held next Tuesday.
Schedule includes a veterans' Appreciation service and a dedication of a Vietnam War memorial.
Former State Assemblyman Ronald Tocci will serve as grand marshall, according to The Pelhams - PLUS.
The indoor ceremony will be held instead of a parade.
The parade will also honor President John F. Kennedy, who would have turned 100 this year and who spent part of his life in Bronxville.
The parade will honor a Marine major general, 25 Navy sailors and 25 Marines from a division.
The parade is set for Monday, May 29.

A flag display has been set up to honor several local veterans.
The ceremony will take place at Veteran’s Corner.
The parade will begin at Bedford Road School.
The parade will run through downtown Chappaqua.

The local chapter, Captain Oliver C. Chase Jr. Post 274, is organizing the service.
