A New Yorker in heart and soul (and by birth), my kids and i now call Mystic home.
A journalist -- reporter, editor, investigator -- since the late 1980's, this field has long been my passion and, i believe, my calling. i began my professional career in Florida where, after covering stories like a profile of the Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan and one about a Death Row inmate whose execution was botched, i discovered i was really good at this gig.
i traveled with Gannett, the New York Times Regional Newspaper Group, did magazine freelance in NYC and eventually landed at a small but vital community daily in southern Rhode Island. (Long story.)
i have been blessed in my career to have the respect of many including and perhaps most importantly, those who have been "exposed" as part of my watch dog-style journalism. And, more importantly, i can be trusted.
